Survivors of Suicide Loss

Losing a loved one to suicide can be a profoundly painful and isolating experience. The complexity of the emotions can feel overwhelming and often survivors struggle to know who to talk to for fear others won't understand. The ISU Counseling and Mental Health Center offers a group for survivors of suicide loss to connect with others who have suffered the loss of a loved one to suicide. The CMHC also offers a presentation where participants can gain greater understanding of the factors related to suicide loss and receive support. Both services are open to students, faculty, and staff.

Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group

This monthly support group is open to any student, faculty, or staff member who would like to connect with others who have suffered the loss of a loved one to suicide. This group meets the 2nd Monday of each month from 4 - 5 PM.

To sign up for this group and receive information about its location, please contact Rick Pongratz at rickpongratz@isu.edu.
